The Enfield Rendezvous & Poker Run is the first ever event of this type in this part of the world and is aimed at The Royal Enfield and Classic bike enthusiasts and provides an opportunity to come together once a year to swap bike riding stories, share the road with fellow local and international riders in this fun event and celebrate the Nepali New Year in style.

Initiated in Kathmandu Nepal in April 2009 by Rabi Thapa, CEO of Sacred Summits (P) Ltd. Nepal and Stewart Mclean, an avid Harley rider and Top Dawg at SFA, Australia promoting Motorcycle tours in the Himalayas, in memory of their riding buddy Binod Chhetri Acharya, an adventurer and a die-hard fan of the Royal Enfield Motorcycle who had an untimely death in October 2008.

The Enfield Rendezvous & Poker Run is a non competitive annual Motorcycle riding event to bring together Royal Enfield motorcycle riders of all age groups with their friends, spouses and families for a 2 nights / 3 days ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. With it’s crystal clear lakes, The holy Fish Tail Mountain and the awe inspiring Annapurna Mountain range, Pokhara is truly a vacationers paradise.

The 5th Edition presents an opportunity to ride with Enfield and Classic Bike enthusiasts from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Luxumborg, Switzerland, UK and the USA. It’s popularity has grown so much that it has become a “must attend” event thus making it one of the biggest riding fest in Nepal. It also provides an opportunity to show off one’s motorcycle and vie for the prize for the Best Enfield (Original Design) and the Best Customized Enfield Motorcycle.

The Poker Run is also aimed at finishing up with the best hand of Poker cards. One card is dealt at each stop along the way to the destination and spot prizes gifted by Wildlife Resorts, hotels, restaurant & Bars, Rafting, Canyoning, Bungy, Paragliding Companies and our domestic Airlines as well as other business enterprises such as Spa’s, Foot Fetish, Wild Earth cosmetic and herbal products etc etc. are also drawn to add to the socializing during the ride. Over the years, the cost of lunch has been generously supported by M/s Yeti Airlines and a substantial amount of Free Beer has been provided by Nepal Ice for the participants.

The winner of the Poker hand is awarded a special prize. Additional prize for the best supporting / enthusiastic female Enfield rider is also on the cards besides the “Hard Luck Award” which will is presented to the motorcycle that has the most breakdowns.
